Meeting Minutes – October 2026

*Meeting called to order on 10/6/26, at The Village Pizzeria by Spencer.

Secretary’s report:  

Treasurer’s report: 

  • 46 members 20 land owners
  • Budget discussed. Motion to approve by Doug K, second by Sara C.
    • Budget approved and passed by the club.

Old Business:

  • Eliminate the May meeting? Change nominations and elections to match.

New Business: 

  • Need new Fair Committee Chair Person
  • Proposed bylaw change to nominate in February and vote in March for officers.
    • Bylaws and proposed change to be sent out to the club to be voted on next meeting.

Council Report:

  • No more magazine. AWSC to send out email newsletter to clubs, clubs forward to members.
  • Trail issues on Luck to Cushing, SCF to the River, Indian Creek to Lewis, and the Osceola Airport area.
  • DNR to propose bridge removal on the Gandy Dancer north of Luck.
  • DNR to draft a master plan for the Stower.
    • Swam trail work to commence.

KAOS Youth Club: 

  • Meets 10/13
  • Trail sign day is November 7th 9am at McKenzie Lanes in Centuria

Committee Reports:  

Fair Revenue Committee:

  • Chair:  Open
  • Updates:
    • Need more volunteers

Fun Run Revenue Committee:

  • Chair:  Laurel Feldt
  • Updates:
    • Tentative date of February 20th at Ken’s Keyboard.
    • Committee meets at 6:30 prior to November Meeting.
    • Get sponsor lists by December Meeting.

Landowner Appreciation Committee:

  • Chair:  Donna Berg
  • Updates:
    • If moving to March this committee will need a new Chairperson
    • Check attendance at next dinner(need a location!)

Scholarship / Donation Committee:

  • Chair:  Angel Olson
  • Updates:
    • Superbowl weekend for meat raffle

Social Committee:

  • Chair:  Spencer Feldt / Eric Hallen
  • Updates:
    • No new update

Social Media Committee:

  • Chair:  Eric Hallen / Frank Sommerfeldt
  • Updates:
    • Angel is going to post meetings and other information to bookface

Trail Committee:

  • Chair:  Doug Kromrey  
  • Updates:
    • Trevor- Lonny’s land by Fire Hall has ok to place a culvert for safety of trail. $1600 to have Matt install. 15’ long, 12” diameter. This will need a driveway permit from the Town of Alden.
    • Kirk J motioned to pay up to 2k and if no Haydays funds Him and Angel will do another meat raffle to cover. 2nd by Frank S. Motion passed.
    • Doug is building a roller for packing the trails.
    • Trail signing the 7th through the 15th. Doug will send out emails and cards. Trail bosses need to talk to their land owners.

Next Meeting: November 3rd, 2026 at The Friendly Bar in Star Prairie at 7:00pm.
