Meeting Minutes – August, 2026

*Meeting called to order on 8/4/26, 7:01pm at The Star Prairie Sports Bar by Spencer.

Secretary’s report:  

• All past month’s meeting minutes are posted on our club webpage (www.osceolavalleysnogoers.com).  They stand approved.

Treasurer’s report: 

• Last large expenses was restaurant permit. Has increased from 90 to 125 to 195. Purchased a state permit as it is good for multiple events.
• Submitting AWSC memberships along with memberships for land owners and those that sold 5 or more raffle tickets.

Old Business:

• Discussed possibly eliminating the May meeting. This would require backing up the land owners dinner and the elections. Suggested to maybe move dinner to Kens and cater in food? No action taken.

New Business: 

• New meeting are available.
• Bag of left over extra fun run shirts available.
• September meeting will be the 8th(second Tuesday).

Council Report:

• The land for the new council facility has been deeded. Plan has been approved. Funding determines one large building or a separate shop and storage building.
• Stower to remain closed, no further action being taken.
• AWSC magazine publisher has filed bankruptcy.
• Application info for Miss Snowflake will be emailed out.

KAOS Youth Club: 

• No fall meeting yet.

Fair Revenue Committee:

• Chair:  Cyndi Sommerfeldt
• Updates:
  • Sign up sheet was passed out.
  • Dates are later this year, 11th, 12th, and 13th.
  • Meeting to be the 8th @ 5pm.

Fun Run Revenue Committee:

• Chair:  Laurel Feldt
• Updates:
  • No new update other than discussion from new business.

Landowner Appreciation Committee:

• Chair:  Donna Berg
• Updates:
  • No new update other than discussion from new business.

Scholarship / Donation Committee:

• Chair:  Angel Olson
• Updates:
  • Budget remains at 2000 and 500 to open cupboard?

Social Committee:

• Chair:  Spencer Feldt / Eric Hallen
• Updates:
  • No new update

Social Media Committee:

• Chair:  Eric Hallen / Frank Sommerfeldt
• Updates:
  • No new update

Trail Committee:

• Chair:  Doug Kromrey  
• Updates:
  • Land east of the airport is possibly sold.
  • Dresser East new Trail Boss is Yamaha Dave.
  • Duane had 20 more map boxes built for $20 each. (Sell them to the council?)
  • If applicable the club will be reaching out to the SnoBarrons for potential trail work grants.
  • Trail crossing on 30th Ave west of Farmington Town Shop needs to be moved and/or improved.

Next Meeting: September 8th, 2026 at The Osceola Fair Grounds in Osceola at 7:00pm. Please arrive early to help set up for the fair. Plan is to start around 5pm.
