The November 4th, 2014 meeting was brought to order by President Eric Hallen

The secretary’s report was read and approved.  Treasurer’s report was read and approved.

Sheri reviewed the 2014-2015 budget per the budget committee meeting.  Projected income is $17332.56 projected expenses are $18886.00.

Eric discussed the 2014-2015 budget and that we need to come up with additional fund raising activities that we should not depend on all of our operating income from the fair.  We will add a fund raising committee to our current committees.

Not all club members agreed with this as we have more money than we have ever had.

2014-2015 budget was approved.

Council Report:

Doug and Andrew Kromrey will be attended the AWSC convention October 31st – November 2nd.  Doug passed out information on the new Wisconsin trail pass law, we reviewed this information along with “Is your club ready” literature that he received.  Doug also handed out promotional literature for SnoGoer magazine subscription offer for $10.00 and $5.00 goes to the AWSC.  Doug also has AWSC raffle calendars to sell if anyone is interested. Check out the AWSC website for information on the new laws.

Greg reported that the tractors are almost ready and they should be complete in about a week.  He also reminded trail bosses to make sure you contact your landowners if you plan on working on trails at any time.  Sherri will be mailing notification of the November 15th trail signing day this week.  The Cat Tail trail out of Amery will be logged in 2015.  If this goes well the Gandy Dancer trail will be logged also.  This will help for years to cut down on the brushing that will be needed on these trails.

The snowmobile safety class held at OHS had 19 graduates.

There will be a snowmobile safety class held in Luck on November 11th, 13th and 15th.  Information is on the Polk County website.

Youth Club:

Andrew reported that the youth club attended the October 21st safety class at OHS to recruit new members. The youth club thanked us for the donation for the T-Shirts in honor of Sarah Thorsland. If you are interested in buying one you can contact Andrew.  On November 15th the youth club will be helping with the signing of the Dresser to Wandroos trail.

Trail Bosses:

Gordy thanked everyone who helped cutting wood at the shelter. November 8th is scheduled to re-deck the bridge on Willberg’s land.  Meet at the bridge at 9:00 a.m. bring cordless drill and chargers.  Gordy will have a sign off of 240th on where to turn to get to the bridge. Trail opening day will be November 15th.  Signs and posts are in. Sheri will send post cards to the landowners notifying them.  If you want to work on the Farmington/Osceola area trails meet at Sue’s at 8:00 a.m. If you want to work on the Dresser/St. Croix/Wandroos trail meet at Kevin McNutt’s house.  His address is 2083 100th ave. Dresser.  This is by the Jerry Grundhoefer memorial trail. If you have any questions concerning trail work day contact any of the trail bosses

Old Business:

New culvert is completed on Hwy. 35 on Rixmann’s land.

The by-laws have been updated.

Resolution still need to be reviewed and approved.

New Business:

Ricky will set up a day for trail brushing.  He will call or I’ll send e-mails to get volunteers once he has confirmed a date.

Club dues are due January 1, 2015.  A new member/renewal form will be sent with November meeting minutes.

Bruce reported that Augie’s has new owners and they want to support us and are excited to work with us.

Trip committee – nothing to report.

New brochures and post cards are in.  Also the membership registration forms are posted on our website and facebook page.

Welcome new members – Heidi Cotch & Steve Botzet. Bently Kriewald and Dan & Renee Munthe

Next club meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd, 2014 at Potting’s.  The board of directors and officers will meet at 6:30 p.m. to review the resolution.
