On February 15th 200 plus showed up in Madison in support at the capital in Madison in support of the CAP/STEP bill. It will now go to the house. We should have results by March 30, 2012. The groomer banquet will be held on April 19, 2012 at Crickets (formerly the Tac-O-Ban). Doug Kromrey widened and smoothed by the Horse Creek bridge. The council wanted feedback from all the clubs in the county on their decision to keep the trails closed. Our club members opinions were that it could have been considered to keep portions of the county open, to consider not running the groomers being the snow was going to be short lived and that the decision could have been made after the snow storm to see how much snow fell in the area. Doug will report our opinions back to the council. If you have anything to add please contact Doug. The main reason for the council’s decision was the concern of hayfields and crop damage. Council decided that trail maps printed this year will not be changed or re-printed for the 2012-2013 snowmobile season.
Trail closing is tentatively scheduled for Saturday March 31st. Meet at Sue’s Bar & Grill between 8 -9:00 a.m. for breakfast and back to Sue’s at noon for hot dogs.
** Notice will be send out to confirm.
