Meeting date March 6, 2012
Meeting was called to order by President Rick McGuiggan. Secretary’s report was read and approved. Treasurer’s report was read and approved.

Council Report:
On February 15th 200 plus showed up in Madison in support at the capital in Madison in support of the CAP/STEP bill. It will now go to the house. We should have results by March 30, 2012. The groomer banquet will be held on April 19, 2012 at Crickets (formerly the Tac-O-Ban). Doug Kromrey widened and smoothed by the Horse Creek bridge. The council wanted feedback from all the clubs in the county on their decision to keep the trails closed. Our club members opinions were that it could have been considered to keep portions of the county open, to consider not running the groomers being the snow was going to be short lived and that the decision could have been made after the snow storm to see how much snow fell in the area. Doug will report our opinions back to the council. If you have anything to add please contact Doug. The main reason for the council’s decision was the concern of hayfields and crop damage. Council decided that trail maps printed this year will not be changed or re-printed for the 2012-2013 snowmobile season.
Trail Bosses:
Trail closing is tentatively scheduled for Saturday March 31st. Meet at Sue’s Bar & Grill between 8 -9:00 a.m. for breakfast and back to Sue’s at noon for hot dogs.

Dick Hoppe will get prices for any landowners signs that are needed. Trail Bosses – please take note of any signs you may need when closing trails.
Old business:
We can order any additional shirt and sweatshirt orders at any time from Amery Sports & More with no minimum order requirements, if you missed out on the club order you can contact them directly to order.
Sign up sheets were sent around again for committees that still need volunteers. We still need help on the Membership Committee and Nominating Committee. We need everyone’s participation. If you were not at the meeting and are interested in being involved please contact Julie McGuiggan or Suzy Wente.
Our club Funday still took place as scheduled for Saturday February 11, 2012. Turn out was good. Bruce and Anne Fosse were made honorary members in appreciation of letting us have the shelter on their land. Thank you Bruce & Anne.
Nate Gustafson reported that the Osceola Chill Fest had a good turn out for the parade. I was a good way to get our name out in the community. Thank you to the club members who let us use your sleds for the float. Thank you Keith Raska for letting us use your trailer to haul the sleds.
New Business:
Land owners dinner was set for April 14, 2012 at Potting’s Bar. The club with provide the main dish and all club members are asked to bring a dish to pass. Happy hour is 6:00- 7:00 p.m. with dinner at 7:00. The Committee for the dinner will meet on March 24th at 10:00 a.m. at McGuiggans to plan.
Arnold Wente is planning a trip to Wyoming in 2013. He’s setting up a semi to haul sleds. If any club members are interested please contact Arnold.
