Meeting date February 7, 2012
Meeting was called to order by President Rick McGuiggan. Secretary’s report was read and approved. Treasurer’s report was read and approved.
Council Report:
Doug Kromrey reported that February 15, 2012 buses will be going to Madisonin support of the Cap Step Bill, this bill is now known as the AB465 & SB365. Contact our state representatives to support this bill. Info can be found on the AWSC website. The 43rd annual AWSC convention will be held in Manitowac March 31st and April 1st. Greg & Colleen Swanson and Doug & Terri Kromrey will be attending. Andrew Kromrey is the new youth representative forPolkCounty. Doug met with Jeremy of the parks department we can knock brush down by theHorseCreekBridge but we can not haul fill in. This area is considered a wet land. Doug also confirmed that Bob N. did receive the gift certificate for damage done to his combine. Greg Swanson reported that there is a new bill underway to tie an OWI offense on snowmobile to your drivers license, more info. to follow. Doug Johnson’s (AWSC President) parents had a home accident were there home exploded and his mother was killed in the accident. Motion was made and carried to send flowers from the club to his mother’s funeral.
Trail Bosses:
No Snow. New landowner’s signs need to be ordered. Trail bosses will determine which signs need to be replaced and new ones that we need once they can get out on the trails.
Old business:
Roxy brought the shirt and sweatshirt orders and we can continue to order with Amery Sports & More at anytime with no minimum order requirements.
We still need help on our various committees. Please sign up for a committee. We need everyone’s participation. If you were not at the meeting and are interested in being involved please contact Julie McGuiggan or Suzy Wente.

Trips were cancelled due to lack of snow.
Our club Funday will still take place as scheduled for Saturday February 11, 2012 we will do the trail dedications and cookout hot dogs and have hot chocolate at the shelter. We will park and drive through Earl Foss’s land. Meet at noon.

Nate Gustafson will be taking care of a float for the Snogoers for the Osceola winter parade. The parade is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. Anyone able to help please contact Nate.
New Business:
Rick M. brought up the idea of doing a memorial sign at our shelter for club members that are no longer with us. This will be discussed in further detail at a future meeting.
Trails have to be officially closed by March 31st if we are able to open them this season.
