Meeting date January 7, 2014
Meeting was called to order by President Eric Hallen. Secretary’s report was read and approved. Treasurer’s report was read and approved.
Council Report:
If you see an ATV on the gandy a permit has been issued for one individual to legally ride the trail. Youth ride for kids and adults is scheduled February 7th – 9th. This is a state wide event in Lakewood, WI. Celebrate Wisconsin ride is scheduled for February 20 – 21st this is in Washburn and Burnett Counties. The MS ride is scheduled for January 23 – 25th. You can check the AWSC for more information on these events.
Youth Club Report:
Central Bank has chosen the youth club for recipients for the Riverbucks program for the month of January. If you have a chance stop by the bank for coffee and cookies to support our youth club. The youth club has completed painting the picnic tables.
Trail Bosses:
The new landowners signs are in, they look great. Trail bosses will get them posted. Motion was made and carried that we purchase a solar light to mount at the shelter.
Old Business:
Christmas cash was sent to the landowners. The food shelf donation was made and we did receive a Thank you from Open Cupboard.
We need to send a thank you to Wandroos Bar for their donation. Sheri will send.
New Business:
We received a thank you from Swanson’s and Niedermier’s for flowers sent to the funerals.
There is a new app. for smart phones, it is called Trail Manager. Kevin McNutt is doing all the GPS work for our trails for this app. Thanks Kevin!
Additional brushing needs to be done on the Dresser trail by the gravel pit by Rite Way. Ricky will plan and coordinate, he will be looking for volunteers to help.
It was also brought up that if you are out riding and see signs down to please stop and fix.
Trip committee has booked Lakewood’s resort in Cable for January 24th and 25th. 5 rooms have been reserved.
Eric Hallen has booked the overnighter for Friday February 14th, ride will leave from Osceola Friday morning, stay overnight in Danbury and ride back on Saturday.
The club ride and shelter party is scheduled for Saturday February 22. There will be a ride in the morning and then meet at the shelter at 12:30, the club will provide hot dogs and hot chocolate.
Landowner’s dinner is scheduled for Saturday April 12, 2014 at Potting’s.
There is a benefit for Al Mielke scheduled for Saturday March 1, 2014 at Potting’s from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Please let’s all try to support our club member as he fights cancer.
Motion was made and carried to give the youth club $200.00 for painting the picnic tables.
We need volunteers on our committees. We have the following committees:
Fair Committee, Landowner’s Dinner committee, Membership committee, Trip committee, nominating committee and social committee (plan club appreciation party and club ride/cook out at shelter). Contact any officer if you are interested in participating on these committee’s
Next meeting will be held on Tuesday February 4, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at Wandroo’s bar.
