Meeting date May 7th, 2013
Meeting was called to order by President Rick McGuiggan. Secretary’s report was read and approved. Treasurer’s report was read and approved.
Council Report:
Reported that the groomers banquet was a success, there were a lot of door prizes and a lot of good food. Groomer heads are getting tractors put away. Trail work reports need to be turned in to Doug & Greg so they can turn in our hours at the next council meeting on May 9th. Andrew reported that the youth club will take care of staining our picnic tables, they will get the supplies at Bill’s Ace Hardware and charge it to the club. The club will make a donation to the youth club for their work. The International Snowmobile Convention will be held June 6th-8th 2013 in Green Bay, WI. The Summer AWSC directors meeting will be June 21st – 23rd in Wautoma, WI.
Trail Bosses:
Gordy reminded to get trail work hours turned in and wood needs to be cut for the shelter. Decided we’d set something up to cut wood in October. Dave Wurst contacted Ricky McGuiggan that we owe him for additional crop damage. Motion was made and carried to pay him $250.00. Trail clean up is pretty much done. Some signs near Osceola may still need to come down. Doug Kromrey will check with Dwayne Wolters. Sign orders need to be turned into Doug Kromrey or Greg Swanson so they can get them ordered with the council. We may need to replace the culvert on the Grundhoefer land outside of Dresser. If you need landowners signs for your section of trail let Gordy know now. New culvert may need to go in on Dave Rixmann’s land.
Old Business:
Dick Hoppe is getting the new signs made for the bridge, they will be done by October. The land owner’s dinner was a success we had a great turn out and we got lots of nice gifts donated. Bruce Johnson made and delivered plaques for all the businesses that donated and motion was made and carried that we will put a notice in the Osceola Sun thanking all the area businesses that donated. Bruce Johnson will taken care of this. Thank you Bruce!!
