Meeting date December 4, 2012
Meeting was called to order by President Rick McGuiggan. Secretary’s report was read and approved. Treasurer’s report was read and approved. Treasurer also reported on FY ending October 2012 balance statement.
Council Report:
Groomer rodeo date has been changed to January 12, 2013 from December 8, 2012 due to lack of snow. It will be held at the groomer shed, at noon. Greg also reported on the upcoming construction on highway 8. The DNR has been buying and condemning land in the Deer Lake area as part of the project. The start date is undetermined but is years out, but we do need to stay connected to the project. The washout on the Gandy Dancer trail has been repaired. Gravel has been hauled in and it is noted with caution signs. The DNR will be replacing this are with a bridge in the spring. They are putting in a bridge that will be a 22,000 pound weight limit. This is heavy enough for the groomer. The total cost is being covered by the DNR. Doug reported that the MS ride will be at Telemark Lodge January 24th – 26th 2013. If you would like to sign up you can do so at mssnowmobiletouor.org. The AWSC Directors meeting is schedule in Wisconsin Rapids January 4th – 6th 2013. The youth club has scheduled a ride for February 8th – 10th 2013 to Lakewood, WI. The Discover Wisconsin video promoting snowmobiling will be airing on television November 24th and 25th and December 18th and 19th. The times of airing and channels are posted on the Discover Wisconsin website. Also the club has two copies of the video to borrow, if anyone is interested contact Rick McGuiggan. The Spring AWSC Convention will be head March 22 – 24th in LaCrosse, WI . The International Snowmobile Convention will be held June 6th – 8th 2013 in Green Bay. If you are interested in attending either of the conventions please contact Doug. Andrew Kromrey our youth rep. reported that the youth club will be ringing bells for the Salavation Army during the holiday season. The youth club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 at the groomers shed, their next meeting is December 10th. If you know any interested youth please contact Andrew. The youth club will be serving food at the groomer rodeo. The youth club did trail work on November 10th.
Trail Bosses:
Gordy Jones reported that we need snow. He also reported that the signs on Niedermeir bridge need to be replaced. Dick Hoppe and Greg Swanson will check on costs for replacement signs. Please make sure you turn in your hours to the trail bosses if you did trail work. Bruce J. reported that there are two sections of trail that are not marked because cows are not moved. He reported that the cows will not be moved until there is enough snow on the ground that the cows can’t eat the corn. This is on the Dresser to Wandroos trail. It will remain closed until the cows are gone and we can get it signed. Nate G. will check on getting easement from the new church in Dresser and Brian Swanson will get the easement from the new landowners in East Farmington. Brushing was done on December 1st on 60th avenue at Stenrud’s and Sandigger’s. Thanks to all who helped. The trail south of Horse Creek Store needs to have the brush hog go through.
Old business:
Eric Hallen has presented the donation in the amount of $100.00 to the open cupboard of Osceola. Thank you Eric!!

New Business:
There was a vintage snowmobile show at Pottings held on December 2, 2012, we discussed if it s on the schedule for next year the snowmobile club should get involed. Possibilities of doing a food stand or any way that they may need. Help.
Trip committee has booked the Safari for January 25th & 26th at the Hayward Casino Lodge. 10 rooms are booked, the rate is $69.00 per room with two queen beds. We have to cancel by January 11th if there is no snow. If you would like to reserve a room the number is 800-526-2274 reference group #12513, reservations are under Osceola Valley Sno-Goers. There are more rooms available if we need them. Gordie reported that only one room as been booked to date.

Motion was made and carried to get $20.00 Visa gift cards for all the landowners as a Christmas gift. Sherri Hoiby will take care of getting them. Julie, Roxy and Suzy will get them mailed out.
Bruce Johnson will get membership brochures updated along with decals to distribute at local businesses.
