Meeting Minutes – March 3rd, 2026

*Meeting called to order on 3/3/2026, 7:06pm by Spencer at Pottsies Place.

Secretary’s report:  

• All past month’s meeting minutes are posted on our club webpage (www.osceolavalleysnogoers.com).  They stand approved.

Treasurer’s report: 

• 115 paid members, 14 Commercial, and land owners
• Funds are good

Old Business:

• UW Wanderoos fire
  • UW had donated 1000 from Hunters Party and 250 for Fun run
  • Motion by Kirk Johnson to donate the $1250 back, seconded by Rhett Larson
  • Angel will deliver the check with ATV club check to Tammy and Jerry

New Business: 

• Board of directors met and it was suggested to postpone the Landowners dinner and give $40 gift cards instead, using budgeted funds

Council Report:

• Clayton area is looking to create a South East Polk County ATV Club
• Bill on track to be passed raising permits and registrations
• Doug is working with the council on rollers design/cost
• Groomer Banquet is March 19th
• New county land/shed Survey is complete and approved by the Village of Centuria. The land should be turned over by July. Look for a Capital Fund raiser.

KAOS Youth Club: 

• Annual raffle upcoming, drawing in April
• Members went on a 100 mile ride
• Next meeting is next week.  3/10

Committee Reports:  

Fair Revenue Committee:

• Chair:  Cyndi Sommerfeldt
• Updates:
  • No new updates

Fun Run Revenue Committee:

• Chair:  Laurel Feldt
• Updates:
  • The fun run was January 15th and through February 21.
  • 90 present of 109 cards sold
  • Thanks to all the volunteers, card sellers, and sponsors
  • Recommended by the Fun Run Committee and the Board of Directors to pledge a 25k donation to the new county shed in Centuria if it gets approved. And to increase the scholarship fund from 1k to 2k this year. Motion by Karter McNutt and seconded by Doug Kromrey to increase scholarship for this year. Motion by Doug Kromery and seconded by Duane Wolter to dedicate 25k to the new county shed.

Landowner Appreciation Committee:

• Chair:  Donna Berg
• Updates:
  • Postpone the dinner and send out $40 gift cards instead
  • Reevaluate next year

Scholarship / Donation Committee:

• Chair:  Angel Olson
• Updates:
  • Thanks for organizing the meat raffle Angel

Social Committee:

• Chair:  Spencer Feldt / Eric Hallen
• Updates:
  • No new updates

Social Media Committee:

• Chair:  Eric Hallen / Frank Sommerfeldt
• Updates:
  • No new updates

Trail Committee:

• Chair:  Doug Kromrey  
• Updates:
  • Be sure to check for broken off sign posts when pulling trail signs
  • Trail 30 improvements are in development
  • The trail to Cedar Lake from the Horse Creek store needs some clearing for safety improvement. ROW is wide in areas, confirmed by POCOHWY(emails)
