Meeting Minutes – January 6th, 2026

*Meeting called to order on 1/6/2026, 7:04pm by Spencer at UW Wanderoos.

Secretary’s report:  

• All past month’s meeting minutes are posted on our club webpage (www.osceolavalleysnogoers.com).  They stand approved.

Treasurer’s report: 

• 134 paid members/ 145 last year
• Checking and rainy-day accounts remain healthy  

Old Business:

• Meeting minutes were in the wrong category, this has been resolved.

New Business: 

• Club needs a trail roller or Council should invest/build trail rollers. Rubber tire, similar to Bayfield Co?

Council Report:

• Stower Trail is closed
• Osceola Club has far more members than other area clubs
• Check the State website for trail open/closed status https://www.travelwisconsin.com/snowreport/snowmobile
• County does not have funds to continue to maintain Stower, they will be looking to have the DNR take it over 

KAOS Youth Club: 

• Held a meat raffle last sunday
• Annual raffle upcoming
• Possible new warming shelter at new council shed site
• Next meeting is next week.  1/13

Fair Revenue Committee:

• Chair:  Cyndi Sommerfeldt
• Updates:
  • Some frozen hen legs left

Fun Run Revenue Committee:

• Chair:  Laurel Feldt
• Updates:
  • The fun run will start January 15th and run through February 21.
  • Club members have an opportunity to get a free membership if they sell 5 Fun Run Cards, these are ready to go
  • Ken’s Keyboard will be our gold sponsor and final location on 2/21.
  • Cards are $25 each which includes a shirt and a map
  • Prizes include a gear bag and cooler

Landowner Appreciation Committee:

Scholarship / Donation Committee:

• Chair:  Angel Olson
• Updates:
  • Meat raffle at the world famous Busch Lite Challenge is 2/6/26, Pottsies

Social Committee:

• Chair:  Spencer Feldt / Eric Hallen
• Updates:
  • Membership appreciation held 12/6 starting at 3pm at Eric’s. 
  • Solon Springs for the Safari, January 22-24 at the St Croix Inn. Club activity in the basement. Call to book a room.

Social Media Committee:

• Chair:  Eric Hallen / Frank Sommerfeldt
• Updates:
  • Membership pay issues with the website

Trail Committee:

• Chair:  Doug Kromrey  
• Updates:
  • Trail 30 Crossing Church Rd issues to be resolved
  • Watch sign placements on inside corners, leave room for groomers

Finance Committee:

• Chair:  Frank Sommerfeldt
• Updates:

Next Meeting: February 3rd, 2026 at Doboy’s at 7:00pm.
