Meeting Minutes – December 2nd, 2025

*Meeting called to order on 11/4/25, 7:0pm by Spencer at The Friendly Bar.

Secretary’s report:  

• All past month’s meeting minutes are posted on our club webpage (www.osceolavalleysnogoers.com).  They stand approved.

Treasurer’s report: 

• 102 paid members
• Memberships will be submitted on December 4th and then again on December 23rd
• Checking and rainy-day accounts remain healthy  
• Remember to turn in trail work hours

Old Business:

• Fun Run Event sent in to the AWSC magazine

New Business: 

• Meeting minutes were in the wrong category, this has been resolved.

Council Report:

• Be respectful in pictures posted on Club pages
• Stower Trail use overturned on appeal. A public hearing needs to be held on the “Swamp Trail” alternate walking path that was established
• AWSC trail passes and DNR registrations are increasing
• Groomer Rodeo Dec 6th
• New building in Centuria is a couple years out

KAOS Youth Club: 

• Trail signs are up
• Stickers are available
• Most of the members at the  workshop event were out of high school
• Next meeting is next week.  12/9

Fair Revenue Committee:

• Chair:  Cyndi Sommerfeldt (report by Frank)
• Updates:
  • Some extra meat available

Fun Run Revenue Committee:

• Chair:  Laurel Feldt
• Updates:
  • The fun run will start January 15th and run through February 21.
  • There will be more ‘stops’ to include more stops in Osceola.
  • Club members will have an opportunity to get a free membership if they sell 5 Fun Run Cards
  • Ken’s Keyboard will be our gold sponsor and final location on 2/21.
  • Cards are $25 each which includes a shirt and a map
  • Prizes include a gear bag and cooler

Landowner Appreciation Committee:

Scholarship / Donation Committee:

• Chair:  Angel Olson
• Updates:
  • Meat raffle at the world famous Busch Lite Challenge is 2/6/26, Pottsies

Social Committee:

• Chair:  Spencer Feldt / Eric Hallen
• Updates:
  • Membership appreciation to be held 12/6 starting at 3pm at Eric’s.  This will include the McNutt appreciation event.  Kaos club will be included in this appreciation due to the McNutts many years of service to this club as well. 
  • Solon Springs for the Safari,January 22-24 at the St Croix Inn. Club activity in the basement. Call to book a room.

Social Media Committee:

• Chair:  Eric Hallen / Frank Sommerfeldt
• Updates:
  • Our club now has its own Ride Command access account

Trail Committee:

• Chair:  Doug Kromrey  
• Updates:
  • Suggestion to add a QR code to place on trail signs at roads to scan to get the trail status of open or closed
  • Trails set to open the 15th if all prep work is completed. 

Finance Committee:

• Chair:  Frank Sommerfeldt
• Updates:
