As of Tuesday, February 11 2025 at 8:00am, Polk County snowmobile trails south of Hwy 8 are open. After nearly 2 years, we finally get to ride our home trails, including our new Trail 30.
A few things to remember: (1) the snow base is thin, so please be extra careful while riding. Look for rocks, branches and other debris on the trails. Remove what you can. (2) since the snow base is so thin, try not to spin your track. Once the snow is gone, we will close the trails. (3) Trails north of Hwy 8, Barron County and St. Croix County are closed. Please respect our landowners and DO NOT ride on closed trails.
Reports are indicating that 80% of the trails are in good shape, 15% are in fair shape and 5% are in bad shape. The fields that have been chiseled plowed are the worst. Ride with caution.
Let’s work together and be gentle on the trails so we can keep them open for as long as possible.
